Nail Decals - Finger Photos

Until I started working on nail decal designs, I would never have imagined that photoshopping fingernails could be a full time job.

ABC New Product Teasers

Always Been Creative, the inventors of the blankZ plush toys, is in the middle of creating a few new innovative products. I am designing all of the graphics that go on the products and the packaging.

Here's the first cut of design samples for 2 new products. Both products are still in the prototype phase and so I can't tell or show you much about them yet. But as soon as they are closer to hitting the market, I'll put out more design samples.

Made In The USA

While all of the products that I work with were created in America, most of them are manufactured internationally. Which means that as a designer I spend a good amount of my time going back and forth between my client and the manufacturer in Japan, China, India or Russia. It is so hard to communicate with someone that doesn't speak fluent English. Especially when every country expects different kinds of size and color specs.

Recently I have had the pleasure of working with a few Made In America products. Can't tell you how nice it is to go back to inches and CMYK.

This week I'm celebrating the American made products that help our economy thrive.

Happy Independence Day & G-d Bless America,

5 years ago - Website Platforms

I was recently working on a mobile platform for a website and it suddenly hit me, how much website technology has changed since my first web design class in 2009, just a little over 5 years ago.

Remember these
In 2009...
• There was no such thing as a mobile platform.
• Cell phones made phone calls and if you wanted to go online you found a computer.
• Laptops had internet but Wifi was rare. If you wanted internet on your laptop, you plugged into a phone line or bought one of those expensive internet chips. So if you wanted to go onto the internet, chances are that you were looking at a 20"-30" screen.
• When you bought a web domain, you paid for the amount of memory. Which means, unless you were a big company, your websites graphic quality was limited. HD was a new concept that took up a lot of memory and was therefore out of the question.
